Description
Quartz with Mica Tower Point, 9 – 10 cm tall and 160 g.
When mica forms inside quartz, this tends to happen when silica-rich molten rock cools down and solidifies. During the cooling process, quartz crystals can form by precipitation from silica-rich hydrothermal solutions in veins. As these quartz crystals grow, they can encapsulate minerals present in the hydrothermal solution, including mica flakes. This may not be how this particular rock was formed, however it is a logical explanation and accounts for the presence of mica inside the quartz crystal.
Both quartz and mica are known to have healing properties, with quartz being ‘the master healer’. This would be a nice addition for crystal healers.
