About Us

Something Wiccan is a witchy shop with a physical location at 2 Church Walk, Crawley, West Sussex, incorporated in 2019 by Saranne Mallinson.

Saranne has been a practicing pagan since 1989. She was taught Wiccan practices through the 1990’s by a high priest and high priestess, and is now an eclectic kitchen witch. She graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with an honours degree in Geology in 2003 and has worked in Italy, Spain, Cyprus and here in the UK. She now trades in crystals and gemstones from around the world.

Our story goes back to 2015, when we decided to start our own business. We started out started selling soap and a few incenses and spiritual items in the spring of 2016 as a sole trader under the name of Sara’s Soap Shop.  In 2019, the business was rebranded as Something Wiccan, and incorporated.

In 2023, Something Wiccan moved into its first physical shop, at 2 Church Walk, Crawley.

Did you know? We only work with wholesalers who take traceability seriously, so customers know where the crystals come from and can make informed choices. We don’t buy from Social Media sites, Temu, Shein, Amazon, AliExpress, AliBaba or other similar sites, not do we buy from people’s private collections as we wouldn’t be able to determine the history of the product. This is why we occasionally run out of specific crystals, or why sometimes we have a different size, shape or grade of crystals in stock. Our Lapis Lazuli for example, comes from Afghanistan and it is labelled in the shop so that people can decide if they want to buy it.

We do not print catalogues. This is to keep costs down so that we can continue to provide good value to our customers. Our website is our catalogue and is carefully maintained, so if you can put something in your basket it means that we have it in stock.

We also do not print little cards with the ‘meaning’ of each the crystals. There are many reasons for this, but the biggest reason is that we’d have to pass that cost onto the customer and we want to keep our prices down.

We are also a gift shop that kids love, so in if you’re in Crawley, pop in and and buy something pretty for your little witch or wizard!
