Polished carnelian point, about 9 – 10 cm tall.
Carnelian is a quartz stone that comes in an amazing variety of colours and is formed from the intergrowth of quartz and moganite. Moganite is considered a polymorph of quartz. This means it has the same chemical composition as quartz, but a different crystal structure.
Carnelian appears from clear, yellow, grey and pink, to a vibrant range of fire-orange reds and brown-reds.
