Free standing black obsidian polished point, approximately 9 – 10 cm tall. As all crystals are natural, there may be imperfections such as mineralization and vesicles from variations in the volcanic cooling process.
Geologically, obsidian is formed when lava rich in minerals that would normally go onto form quartz and feldspar, cool at a rapid pace. This creates the glass-like structure we all know of obsidian. This smooth structure makes it an ideal base to create wands, jewellery and other items from.
