Description
New jade is a type of serpentine, and is a magnesium hydroxyl silicate. It is said to have the same spiritual values as green jade. Because it produces a tranquil mood, it helps ease feelings of depression, especially when we feel stuck in a situation. Serpentine gemstones are said to help with emotional cleansing in general and are believed an excellent stone to use in meditation. New jade serpentine is associated with the heart chakra and the astrological sign of Gemini.
New jade is available in many different hues, including sea green, olive and antiqued shades; we have two colours of this in stock, so the other one is called Olive Jade.
These stones tend to have a waxy luster and can have speckles of cream or black-coloured inclusions. From India.
