Fancy 12% off?
June 23, 2020Tonight is Sankt Hans Aften (Saint John’s Eve) in Denmark. It is the celebration of the longest day – or the shortest night – of the year.
The evening is a huge celebration marking midsummer and it brings people together in the wish for a peaceful year to come. Danes often meet with family and friends, and if the weather allows, they go to their local bonfire venue.
On the top of many bonfires, the effigy of a witch is placed. The bonfire is lit around 10 PM and is followed by singalong of the Danish Midsummer song “Vi Elsker Vort Land” (We Love Our Country) written by the Danish poet Holger Drachmann in 1885.
To celebrate the passing of the longest day, I’m offering 12% off at the checkout until the end of 24th June!
Don’t forget, there is also free shipping on all orders over £20!
