Did you know that all citrine used to be amethyst? Natural citrine is found in areas such as Zambia and the DR of the Congo, where heat has been intense enough to to change amethyst into citrine. Sometimes the process isn’t quite finished when it is mind and we get something called ametrine.
Both natural citrine and natural ametrine are incredibly rare, and most citrine on the market today has been heated artificially to turn it from amethyst into citrine. This means natural products like these ones are more expensive. Price is per piece.
