Nacre, or Mother of Pearl Chips on an elastic bracelet.
Strictly speaking, mother of pearl isn’t actually a crystal – it’s a form of shell that comes from the internal lining of the abalone or pearl oyster shell. The energy of mother of pearl reflects its delicate nature, by giving off an air of sensitivity, relaxation and love. It can soothe the senses, ease stress and worry, and remind us of the importance of expressing our true feelings, rather than keeping them bottled up.
The nacre is continuously deposited onto the inner surface of the shell, the iridescent nacreous layer, commonly known as mother of pearl. The layers of nacre smooth the shell surface and help defend the soft tissues against parasites and damaging debris by entombing them in successive layers of nacre, forming either a blister pearl attached to the interior of the shell, or a free pearl within the mantle tissues. The process is called encystation and it continues as long as the mollusc lives.
Crystal chip bracelets are smooth crystals so will not ‘dig in’ to your skin. They will carry the same properties as an equivalent power bracelet. The decision is purely which you would prefer to wear.
Crystal chip bracelets are cheaper than power bracelets because there is not so much production involved in making the crystal stones the right shape for use. Also the crystals themselves are marginally smaller.
